Physiotherapy and Exercise Programs

Your treatment plan at StillPointe may include several different types of tailored therapy and exercise. You will receive basic exercises and stretches for your specific problem areas.

We can also provide comprehensive therapy for acute and chronic problems with Frequency Specific Microcurrent or Low Level Laser.

Frequency Specific Microcurrent: Stimulating Fast Healing

This is a very sophisticated and specialized type of electrical current that is used to stimulate healing on a cellular level. Microcurrent (FSM) can trigger quick restoration and reverse the damage of years and injury.  It can heal each cell and fiber, banishing fibrosis and restoring circulation to complete the task. What is truly remarkable is that this process works quickly – with minimal discomfort for you.

For years, sports medicine has used localized electrical current to block pain in professional athletes.  FSM provides sudden release of stress and tension in damaged muscles. Most patients using FSM experience reduced symptoms.

What conditions benefit from FSM?

Microcurrent technology continues to open new doors of relief for patients with painful muscle conditions that are chronic, acute or may not have responded to other types of therapy. These include:

 • TMJ/TMD
 • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
 • Chronic Lower Back Pain
 • Shoulder and Neck Pain
 • Whiplash
 • Fibromyalgia
 • Headaches

Low Level Laser (cold laser): Reducing Painful, Inflamed Conditions

Low Level Laser uses light, infrared, or photon energy that can penetrate up to two inches below the skin surface.  This causes an increase in cellular metabolism with no tissue damage. Low Level Laser helps treat a variety of painful and inflamed conditions of the soft tissues and joints:

 • Carpal tunnel syndrome
 • Arthritis
 • Back pain
 • Sport injuries
 • Jaw pain
 • Headaches

It is also used for skin conditions such as acne and reduction of the appearance of lines and wrinkles in spa treatments.  Low Level Laser usually takes only a few minutes and is done as a series over a period of one to two weeks.
