Aromatherapy:

Helping Mood, Thinking and Clarity

Aromatherapy has been used since ancient days. Egyptians used a method called infusion to take oil from plants. Cosmetics and medicines used by Greeks contained the aromatic oil. It is said that the Greeks provided medical knowledge, but Romans worked on it and made improvements to aromatherapy. The ancient Chinese civilization has also used aromatherapy.

Aromatherapy involves the use of essential oils, which provide calming, healing and even detoxification to your body. Essential oils also work with the brain and sensory system to change mood, cognition and clarity.  At StillPointe, we use pure essential oils in many of our massage and healing therapies. People often comment when they walk in the door about “how good it smells at StillPointe.”  What they are smelling is aromatherapy oils.

We use primarily pure essential oils from Young Living and Energique. For information about essential oils, or to order, use the following link: stillpointe.younglivingworld.com
